  1. 1. What will happen ? I think the book will cover the chase between the demon and the people in the van out to CA to meet Amo. This will take up 1/3 of the book. The rest of the book will be Amo defeating the demon and saving his people, the van people and the world.

    2. & 3. What do I hope to see and which characters? You killed off Cerulean (boo hiss!), but I also adore Amo, so page time for him is essential, especially because the demon is mindless. New characters will need to be developed.

    4. The Cover? You have to have the red eyes of the demon in the background. Maybe you can have someone see the demon through binoculars or a gun scope, so the demon is that much larger framed by the back window of the van. I don’t really know.

I have to tell you that I had completely sworn off zombie novels over five years ago; I just couldn’t physically read them, they were so derivative and horrible. Then, I started reading your novels. It’s funny, I had started other zombie novels in the past, couldn’t get past 10% before I DNFed. With your novels, the entire plot didn’t revolve around killing zombies, zombie gore or zombie issues. In other words, you actually had an intelligent plot and good characters. Thank you. I really appreciate your efforts to bring intelligence where there is only silly carnage. I enjoyed the first three, am working on the fourth.

Hi Melinda, and thank you! You say some really kind things about this zombie series. Killing zombies is all well and good, but yes it is only one part of what draws me to the genre. There are so many complex moral issues intertwined with the post-apocalypse, and I find I can’t get enough of exploring them.

As to the guesses of what will come- you’re definitely hitting all the main beats. Whereas books 2 and 3 went back and told the apocalypse again from a different perspective, this one doesn’t- it only plows full-steam ahead.
