An excellent haul of comments Paul, am very pleased indeed I published this. Agreed with everyone above, the story stood out to me from the very beginning, the setting and characters quite unique.

Paul, this held me from beginning to end. I figured from the setting that something was going to happen to someone, but I didn't see your ending coming. Boffo. I'll read your stuff anytime.

Enjoyed this, Paul.
Particularly liked the turns of phrases and the twist that Charlotte was the real psycho.
Good stuff.

Somehow I missed this at "Twist." I'm so glad I caught it here. I love the details in your characters, "with his stoop, hawked nose, black fedora and greatcoat..." Once again, bang-bang.

The Kid Catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is definitely the stuff of childhood nightmares.

Very good style, but I think the plot could have used a little more development. The development of Charlotte's character is promising, but in the end I didn't feel like I knew enough about either her or the Friend Catcher for the climax to make sense. Are you trying to say that Charlotte is the real Friend Catcher, in the sense of a monstrous and menacing figure? Is Charlotte going to continue on chain of similar murders?
